Advanced Dental Implant Program

This Advanced Implant Training Program is a 5 days condensed program providing a highly motivated surgical specialist the opportunity to obtain advanced surgical training in the field of Implant Dentistry. This training will include comprehensive didactic and clinical instructions on hard and soft tissue augmentation procedures, management of complex clinical situations requiring multi-disciplinary management and advanced reconstruction techniques for the “Esthetic Zone”. It provides a surgical specialist with the desires for additional surgical curricular and hands-on training in treating complex and comprehensive surgical cases in Implant Dentistry. This program will provide a surgical specialist the opportunity to function in a private practice-type office setting working as part of a team managing the most difficult clinical situations in Implant Dentistry and to enhance their surgical experiences as well as skills. It is also intended to generate surgical specialists who will return back into a clinical and/or academic setting to establish themselves as leaders in the field of Implant Dentistry.

Day 1

1- Growth factors concepts and its use in accelerating healing :
-Mpm Sticky bone

1- Preparation of PRF , Sticky bone

Day 2
1- Soft and Hard tissue management in esthetic zone , a novel approach
-Treatment of soft tissue defects in esthetic zone with growth factors
-Treatment of bony defects in esthetic zone with growth factors

2- Management of implant failures:
-Loss of integration
-Positional failure
-Biomechanics failure
-Soft tissue failure

3- Partial extraction therapies 
- Pontiff shield 
- Socket shield
- Root submerge

- Treatment of implant peri implantitis
- Bone harvesting techniques using novel tools

Day 3
1-Hard tissue management in implant therapy
-Different situations indicated for grafting
-Guided bone regeneration (GBR)
-Types of barrier membranes
-Types of bone grafts
-Biological concepts of bone grafting 
-Different techniques for ridge preservation and augmentation from the simplest to the hardest
-Management of extraction site specifically in anterior zone

Day 4
Soft tissue management in implant therapy:
-Different situations indicated for soft tissue management
-Soft tissue augmentation around implant
-Soft tissue argumentation of the ridge 
-Types of flap
-Types of soft tissue grafts and different techniques for harvesting

-Different suturing techniques used from the simplest to the hardest 

Day 5

1-Different techniques for harvesting soft tissue graft:
-Free gingival graft
-Connective tissue graft techniques (Trap door, triangle , one horizontal line, Zucchelli )

2-Different flap design techniques:
-Coronally advanced flap
-VISTA technique
-Tunnel technique

3-Soft tissue augmentation of the ridge and around the implant

4-Different suturing techniques

5-Socket preservation technique

6-Harvesting autogenous bone

7-Different ridge augmentation techniques:
-Bone graft+resorbable membrane
-Bone graft+ Ti-mesh
-Augmentation using bone block
-Khoury technique
-Screw tent-pole grafting
